“Pain Point”
A significant operator/manager of real estate properties sought to expand its reach via third-party investment. The family office’s goal was to leverage Mack & Co.’s fund formation and domain expertise to raise $50 million in a retail real estate fund. This was the first time the family sought outside investment for its 20-year real estate company.

Mack & Co. helped the family restructure its existing real estate business to take in investment from third-parties, including family offices and selective institutions. We advised the family on the formation of its inaugural third-party fund and developed the go-to-market strategy for its $50 million real estate fund.

Impact
Two years after initial implementation, the family is raising its second third-party fund with a target of $100 million in equity from family offices and institutions.
